Bangs can be super stylish and really frame your face, but they can also be a total nightmare when you’re working out. They trap sweat underneath them, making your face oily and giving you obvious post-workout hair every single time. So what’s a gym rat to do? Just give up and grow out your bangs? Absolutely not. These tips will help you have the best of both worlds.

Dry Shampoo

Putting up your bangs while working out with a clip can create weird bends and texture in them, which is why our preferred method is to leave our bangs down while exercising and spruce them up with some dry shampoo afterward. You can keep a travel-sized bottle in your gym bag and always be covered.

Real Shampoo

Even better, if you have time, the ideal situation is to give your bangs a quick shampoo and blow-dry after your workout. You can even just wet them in the bathroom sink to freshen them up if for whatever reason you don’t have time to shower.

Thick Headbands

If you tend to get forehead acne or it just bothers you to have hair in your face while exercising, you can use a thick headband to keep your bangs out of your face during your workout.
