With over 10 million subscribers under her belt, Reif is one of the most popular fitness vloggers on YouTube, and her videos are always worth the wait. She poted hundreds of amazing workouts over the years, and one of her latest videos sees her sharing her go-to morning routine, which you can complete in under 10 minutes.
Deep breathing is a cornerstone of Reif’s routine, and she enjoys doing it because it comes with a long list of health benefits.
“We begin with slow, intentional, extra deep breaths to wake up your body & mind. This boosts oxygen flow, and activates the parasympathetic nervous system… This helps to lower stress hormones (like cortisol) and set a calm tone for the day. Inhale deeply through the nose, hold in your belly for a moment, and exhale fully,” Reif writes on YouTube.
Reif’s morning workout also includes lymphatic activation, inspired by the Chinese practice of QiGong, along with stretching and total calmness in the final moments of the workout.
