Robert Pattinson famously joked that he “only [has] abs, like, two weeks a year”, but he decided to take things more seriously for his role in The Batman.

Pattinson fully committed to his physical transformation after landing this iconic role, and his workout regimen has been revealed in the new issue of Healthy For Men. His ab and core routine involves a five-minute cardio workout, followed by bicycle crunches, dumbbell side bends, double crunches, and three intense sets of the Superman exercise.

In addition to hitting the gym, Pattinson goes on 5-10 km runs three or four times a week. He also enjoys long walks and boxing, and he’s adopted a “military-style sandbag routines” after being cast as the Dark Knight.

Pattinson also realized that he needed to make a couple of changes to his diet and embrace a healthier lifestyle. He cut down on alcohol, processed meats, and fried foods in an attempt to achieve the right physique for his most demanding role to date.

The Batman won’t hit theaters until next year, but you can see Pattinson next in Christopher Nolan’s highly-anticipated blockbuster Tenet.
