After months spent inside, we’re all looking forward to working out outdoors, but it’s not always easy to do it safely. If you can’t think of a fun activity that lets you interact with others while keeping a safe distance, tennis is your best bet.
Keeping the Distance
Tennis is one of the best sports for the era of social distancing because it doesn’t require direct person-to-person contact. You’ll never have to come extremely close to your opponent, and it’s extremely easy to stay six feet apart from each other.
If you decide to play doubles, make sure to team up with someone from your household that you’re already seeing every day. If that’s not the case, do your best to maintain physical distance and only play one-on-one.
Keeping It Clean
Despite the fact tennis can be played at a safe distance, it’s still important to adhere to the usual safety protocols. Wiping down your equipment after leaving the tennis court is a must. You can also take extra persecution by bringing your own set of tennis balls to serve with. It’s also crucial to not touch your face during the match, especially after handling equipment.
