These Post-Workout Habits Are Wrecking Your Progress

No matter how hard you commit yourself to your workout, bad habits have the power to completely ruin your progress. Here are a few post-workout patterns that are doing you more harm than good.

Skipping Water

If you’re one of those people who enjoy treating themselves to a can of soda after a workout, it’s time to wave this habit goodbye. Plain old water is no. 1 beverage your body needs in order to rehydrate after an intense hour at the gym.

Staying In Gym Clothes

Getting rid of your sweaty clothes is a must, since they can clog your pores and even cause skin rashes and bacterial infections. Changing into something more comfortable and clean is also good for circulation, and it can lead to a faster recovery after a workout.

Eating Wrong Snacks

It’s really important to refuel in the first 30 minutes after leaving a gym, but you won’t do your body any favors by going to Burger King. Opt for healthy, low-fat snacks that will provide you with enough protein until the next meal.
