Growing up did you have dreams of being a Rockette? Even though you may have not become a Rockette, you can now learn to dance like one with their free virtual dance classes on their Instagram page. Not long after their annual Radio City Christmas Spectacular was canceled due to the pandemic, they decided to offer these classes.

“With everything going on in the world right now, it became apparent that we needed to throw a little holiday spirit into the social media world,” Rockette Danelle Morgan told Shape. “It’s been so rewarding that, despite not having the Christmas show this year, we’ve been able to bring some holiday cheer and joy to our fans.”

The classes are hosted on the Rockettes’ Instagram Live every Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET and they continue through December 23. They are between 50 and 60 minutes long with a Q&A session at the end of each class.

The classes offer something for all dance levels, even if you’re new to dancing. “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” led by Rockette Melinda Moeller is beginner-friendly and Morgan’s “Christmas Dreams” is more advanced and it’s ideal for someone with dance training. The movements can be modified to your level and if you need to, you can slow down the tempo to a pace you are comfortable with.

Are you ready to feel like a Rockette? While the dances look fun, trust us when we say they are a real workout!
