There’s more than one way to buck up when it comes to improving our fitness routines, and there’s no doubt that everyone is different. However, there are certain common practices that many successful people do—and there’s also pretty solid logic and science to back it up. For instance, if you’ve been feeling like you’ve had less energy lately, and want to lead a more productive workout routine, here’s why waking up early might just do that for you.

You’re More Focused In The AM

Not only are you more focused in the morning, but you also have loads more energy than you do at night. From a logical standpoint, we’re drowsy at night because we’ve just gone through a jam-packed day. Sure, there are nights where we can feel “alive” with a second wind, but not everyone operates that way. In fact, most people just laze around during the night and resort to their guilty pleasures.

If you find yourself watching a lot of Netflix at night or playing video games and wish you were working out instead, you should really think about “transferring” those hours to the morning instead. If you go to sleep earlier, you’ll find it a lot easier to wake up a couple hours earlier in the morning. It’s not easy at first, but once you find your rhythm you may shock yourself by what you’re able to accomplish in those early hours!
