3 Yoga Poses That Will Ease Your Anxiety

Worrying too much can be fatal for your physical and mental health. However, if you are looking for a perfect way to relax your mind and body, maybe yoga is for you. There are a couple of poses that can help ease anxiety and alleviate anxious feelings.

Sitting Down Pose

If feeling nervous, a simple sitting in a comfortable leg position and trying to control your breathing by inhaling and exhaling can be a huge relief. If this kind of sitting isn’t comfortable for you to try sitting on your knees or in a chair. Do what works best for you!

Cat-Cow Pose

In a Cat-Cow pose, you are on your hands and knees. Then slowly inhale as you drop your belly towards the mat, lift your chin and chest and gaze up toward the ceiling. Hold your breath for a few seconds and then exhale back into the cat pose, rounding your spine toward the ceiling and slowly placing your chin onto your chest.

Eagle Pose

The famous Eagle pose is a perfect way for turning your attention from your anxiety to calmness. It might be hard in the beginning, but with practice, you will master this pose. Bend your knees, lift your left foot up and cross it over the right. Then, cross the arms in front of your torso and bend your elbows. The back of your hands should be facing each other.
