There’s no reason why you should skip your running sessions while on vacation – on the contrary, you can only benefit from changing the environment. Here are 4 tips for running on the beach.
Run on Wet Sand
It will be easier to run and you won’t sink into tightly packed sand.
Short Runs
Start with around 20 minutes and don’t push yourself too hard. It takes time to get used to running on the beach.
Skip Shoes
If you want, you can run barefoot. That way, you won’t have to deal with wet socks if water accidentally gets into your shoes.
Wear Sunscreen
Don’t forget to protect your skin during your runs. Always apply sunscreen before going for a run.
