Beach volleyball is one of the ultimate summer sports, and no day at the beach can go without it. If you want to play it with your friends and family, make sure to come prepared and bring these five essentials along.

Volleyball

This one seems pretty obvious, but it’s worth mentioning. Make sure to check if you’ve packed your ball before hitting the beach because there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to rent one.

Sunglasses

Wearing sunglasses while playing beach volleyball is also a no-brainer. In addition to shielding your from bright sunlight, they’ll also stop the sand from getting into your eyes.

Sunscreen

Never play beach volleyball without sunscreen, and remember to reapply it if you’re planning to spend a lot of time in the sun.

Sand Socks

Many people tend to play beach volleyball barefoot, but it’s not always the best idea. Sand socks can come in handy, especially if the volleyball court is completely exposed to the sun.

Cap

After protecting your feet from the sun, you should also think of a way to shield your head. There’s a reason why so many professional beach volleyball players wear caps, and you should probably do it, as well.
