Ashley Tisdale became a mom earlier this year, and she recently opened up about her post-baby fitness journey. Instead of relying on intense workouts to get back into her old shape, the former Disney star is taking things slow and it’s showing great results.

Tisdale took to Instagram to share her workout progress since joining forces with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. She wrote that this is the first time she felt comfortable in a snug T-shirt since being pregnant because her body changed tremendously after she started training again.

“Honestly, it’s all about getting your steps in. His method isn’t hard and my body isn’t left feeling like I tortured it. I can’t believe what my body has gone through over the last year and a half. I’m so grateful for it and honestly can’t believe how strong I feel,” wrote Tisdale.

The High School Musical star previously credited yoga and Pilates with helping her body heal, but walking is now her go-to workout. In addition to helping her get back in shape, walking approximately 14,000 steps per day also had a positive effect on her mental health because it allows her to release “the extra energy from anxiety”.
