Brie Larson knows about being a superhero, after all, she starred in Captain Marvel. To show off her super-strength, the actress teamed up with Blogilates founder Cassey Ho for a video on Larson’s YouTube channel where she takes on a challenge she’s never done before—100 sit-ups in five minutes.
In the video, Larson and Ho really weren’t sure if they could complete the challenge and although Larson’s no stranger to intense workouts as she loves indoor rock climbing, has completed pull-ups with steel chains, and done 400-pound hip thrusts.
Well, it comes as no surprise that Larson and Ho crushed the challenge. Throughout the challenge, they even managed to maintain proper form by stabilizing their bodies by keeping their feet weighted under dumbbells, with their hand over their chest or by their sides, sitting up nice and tall and then curling their spines back down.
What’s even more impressive is that they managed to chat and get to know each other while completing them. The duo completed the challenge in 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
Over on Ho’s Blogilates channel, the pair teamed up for a separate “Superhero Ab Workout” which was done right after they finished their “100 sit-ups in 5 minutes” challenge. In Ho’s video, they worked their abs even more with Pilates roll-ups, leg lifts, single-leg jackknife splits, corkscrews, and more.
