Chloë Grace Moretz is Working Out for Mental Clarity

Chloë Grace Moretz has starred in several physically demanding projects over the years, but she’s taking it slow right now. Her fitness routine is pretty low-key, and she mostly focuses on finding inner peace and mental clarity through her workouts.

The Kick-Ass star recently discussed her approach to fitness in the cover story for Shape. She said she mainly uses her designated workout time to unravel her emotions.

“A few years ago, I lost sight of how important exercising is to me. I forgot how it provides mental clarity and dexterity and keeps me grounded and strong. Now I’ve really gotten back into it full time. Working the mind, body, and soul, that’s super important,” said Moretz.

The 24-year-old actress used to work out with celebrity trainer Jason Walsh before the pandemic hit. They usually had sessions five times a week and focused on primal movements, such as bear crawls and baby rolls.

Moretz also used to take restorative yoga classes on the weekends, but quarantine changed her approach to fitness. She realized she could continue the regular exercise on her own, but made them less intense, especially on the days when she doesn’t feel like doing anything but getting up and stretching.
