Hummus is a dip which can be made of any kind of bean or legume, such as chickpeas, black beans, lentils, or white beans. Full of nutrients, proteins, and fibers, hummus is considered a super healthy treat, with the added bonus of low calories.
And with this recipe, you can actually make it fairly easy. Try it yourself.
The Ingredients
- 15-ounce Can Chickpeas – rinsed
- 1 clove Garlic
- ¼ cup Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- ¾ teaspoon Kosher Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Paprika
- 2 tablespoons Sesame Seed Paste – optional
The Preparation
Firstly, in a food processor, mix the chickpeas and garlic with the olive oil, lemon juice, sesame seed pasta, cumin and ¾ teaspoon salt. Blend it until it becomes smooth and creamy. Then, if necessary, add 1 to 2 tablespoons water to achieve the desired consistency. When done, transfer the mixture into a bowl. Serve it on a toast, drizzle it with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika.
