Moments before walking into your new yoga class can be nerve-wracking: “Did I pack all the stuff I need? How to behave? Do I have the right equipment? Did I bring my water bottle?” and many more questions.

But no worries, we are here to help you prepare for your first ever yoga class in the most perfect way.

Familiarize Yourself With Beginner-Friendly Poses

To calm yourself, you can always look into the beginner-friendly poses, and maybe practice them in advance. But it isn’t crucial. The most important thing is to read through their names and look at their pictures to get the idea of what you will be asked to do.

Touch Base With the Instructor

If it is your first yoga class ever, you should let the instructor know before class starts. The instructor will then keep an eye on you and help you with the poses. Also, don’t forget to mention if you have any injuries or you are pregnant.

Avoid Heavy Meals Prior to Class

Eating heavy meals right before your yoga class is a big no-no, otherwise, you may start to feel sick. A light snack before class is okay.
