Great Exercises For Your Rotator Cuff Muscles

Your rotator cuff muscles play a crucial role in stabilizing your shoulders and allowing them to move properly. That’s why it’s so important to strengthen this muscle group when you’re dealing with shoulder injuries, and these moves and stretches will help you do that.

Doorway Stretches

To do this move, you should stand in an open doorway, and hold the frame with both your arms. While gripping the frame, lean forward through the doorway, while keeping your back straight. You should feel a light stretch and shift your weight onto your toes, before returning to standing position and repeating the move.

Pendulum Swings

After leaning forward and placing one hand on a table for support, let your other arm hang freely and gently swing it forward and back. Repeat the move by moving the arm in a circular motion and side-to-side before doing the same with your other arm.

Crossover Arm Stretches

Stand up straight, relax your shoulders, and gently pull an arm across your chest, reaching as far as possible. Use your other arm for support and hold the stretch for 30 seconds, before relaxing for 30 seconds, and repeat the move with your other arm.
