How to Avoid Needing a Nap After Lunch

There’s nothing wrong with a nap after lunch – as long as you’re near your bed and not at work where you’re expected to go back to your desk and continue grinding until 5 o’clock. How do you avoid feeling sleepy after a lunch break?

Use Your Senses

Wake up your mind by waking up your senses. Your eyes may be tired from the screen so put some music on, drink a refreshing beverage, or spray some air freshener, and you’ll be awake in no time.

Reward Yourself

Promise yourself some reward if you finish everything that’s on your to-do list by the end of the day. This will motivate you to keep going.

Call a Friend

A 10-minute conversation with someone fun will make you forget all about feeling sleepy and you’ll be in a much better mood to carry on with your day.
