One of the best ways to start exercising more is to not take on too much too fast. For example, instead of overloading yourself with endless reps of curls and push-ups, maybe start off with a simple walk in the morning. This can actually work wonders when you’re starting out because it’ll get you in the exercising frame of mind. If this is something you’re interested in, here are some tips to help you get started.

Don’t Worry About the Time

Don’t make yourself crazy about doing your walk at the same exact time every morning. Because then, if you miss it once or twice, you may get down on yourself and stop. As long as it’s within one or two hours of waking up, you’re good to go.

Start Shorter

Instead of starting off with an hour-long walk, start with something smaller such as a five or ten-minute walk. Once you’ve gotten into a rhythm, you can now lengthen it to longer durations.

Get a Walking Buddy

Like all workouts, it’s usually a lot easier to stick to it if you’ve got a workout buddy. Indeed, it’s exactly the same with your morning walking routine. It’ll be more fun and you’ll make sure to hold each other accountable for the future.
