The best way to shrink a body part is to get rid of any excess fat. Cardio is the easiest way to do this because it will burn fat without adding muscle weight. If you add muscle, you’re going to bulk up your calves rather than reduce them.

Gentle stretching exercises (such as those learned in yoga or pilates) can help you improve the flexibility of your calves and thin them out.

If you like strength training, then make sure you don’t use much weight (the idea is to trim your calves not bulk them up) and do regular high repetition sets.

Calf raises can be good too. Stand with your feet apart directly below your shoulders and then curl up on to your toes.
