Jacob Elordi Talks Changing His Fitness Routine After “The Kissing Booth”

Jacob Elordi is back in the spotlight with The Kissing Booth 2, but his workouts weren’t as intense as they’ve been for the first movie. The young actor recently discussed his experience training for this teen rom-com with Men’s Health and admitted his fitness routine significantly changed afterward.

Elordi revealed that he used to work out seven days a week, twice a day while preparing for The Kissing Booth. He mostly lifted heavy weights to gain muscle, because his character had strong athletic built in the script.

Elordi didn’t enjoy this intense workout regimen and switched things up after filming wrapped up. He slimmed down for his role in Euphoria, and his fitness routine now includes yoga and pilates, not just body weights.

“Now, it’s more functional. I wanted to be a blank canvas and be more concerned with my health. I wanted to be able to walk and run with my grandkids when I’m eighty-something, you know? It’s more about being functional as opposed to actual aesthetics,” the actor told Men’s Health.
