Most people avoid working out in the morning at all costs, but not Lily James. The British actress is a huge fan of early morning workouts and finds them truly empowering.
James recently discussed her workout routine with Shape and said the lack of the normal structure of working life forced her to come up with a schedule that keeps her motivated. Early morning workouts perfectly fit into this schedule and help her feel more energized.
“I have found that starting my day with exercise is the key. When I work out regularly, I immediately feel the benefits. It’s exciting to be empowered by that, and it turns into a domino effect,” explained the Cinderella actress.
James also believes that it’s important to make exercising fun. She switched yoga and Pilates for Formation Studios’ dance classes while in quarantine so she wouldn’t lose interest. She also fell back in love with cycling because it helped her stop overthinking and connect herself to the present, in addition to keeping her in good shape.
