Lululemon’s Introducing Extended Sizes

Lululemon’s known for their classic, yet stylish activewear pieces. The brand has been around since 1998 and in addition to the expensive price tags, they’ve been called out for their lack of inclusive sizes. But, that’s about to change.

The activewear brand announced that they’ll be offering six of its core styles in sizes 0-20 and by the end of 2021, the brand hopes that the majority of its women’s clothing with be available in more inclusive sizes.

“It’s a start. Six of our top styles are now available in sizes 0-20, and there’s much more coming soon. Inclusion is a journey, and we know we have work to do. We’re committed to launching more inclusive gear every season,” reads the Instagram announcement.

“Doing this type of work isn’t a case of just flipping a switch,” senior vice president of women’s designs at Lululemon explained. “We’ve actually spent the last 2-3 years re-looking at body types. It’s about understanding how that material maps on the body” and “engineering for the body in motion.”

The first six styles being offering are the Fast and Free Tight, the Define Jacket, the Align Pant, the Wunder Train High Rise Tight, the Ready to Rulu Jogger, and the Long Distance Short Sleeve Tee.
