When we grow up, we want to look just like Martha Stewart. The television personality is known for her cooking and she is aging just like fine wine on the cover of the latest Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
Stewart has made history with the photoshoot, becoming the magazine’s oldest cover model. But, the 81-year-old believes that age is nothing but a number.
“Age is not the determining factor in terms of friendship or in terms of success,” she says. “What people do, how people think, how people act, that’s what’s important and not your age.”
Stewart jetted off to the Dominican Republic for the cover shoot, where she got to channel her inner beach babe in a variety of swimsuits. The front of the SI issue features Stewart looking glamorous in a plunging white suit with a silk, orange bolero.
As for how she remains so fit in her 80s?
Pilates, darling!
“I’m still going to Pilates every other day because it’s so great,” she reveals. Stewart also stayed off the carbs, but did not starve herself. “I live a clean life anyway—good diet, good exercise and healthy skin care and all that.”
