Not Setting Up Properly

Makes sure to arrive a few minutes early to every class so you have time to adjust the bike to your height requirements. Skipping this step means that you won’t be able to keep up with your class, and most importantly, you could end up injuring yourself.

Incorrect Posture

One of the most important things to master in order to avoid injuries in spin class is proper posture. Make sure to keep your spine straight and aligned and hold your head up to avoid neck strain.

Not Drinking Enough Water

You’re going to be thirsty and you’re going to sweat a lot, so always bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during the spin class.

Your Upper Body is Moving Too Much

Cycling is a full-body workout but that doesn’t mean your should be moving your upper body during spin class. Moving your shoulders and arms is a waste of energy, so try to avoid this and focus on your posture and pedaling.
