Nike Puts Plus-Size Mannequins in a London Store

Nike is becoming a more inclusive brand and they want the world to know it. The brand opened a new women’s floor at NikeTown London in June where they sell “extended offerings of plus-sizes” and customized sportswear. The store includes plus-size and para-sport mannequins.

“To celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of sport, the space will not just celebrate local elite and grassroot athletes through visual content, but also show Nike plus size and para-sport mannequins for the first time on a retail space,” Nike’s press release said.

Nike’s been offering plus-size clothes since 2017, when they collaborated with model Paloma Elsesser, influencers Danielle Vanier and Grace Victory, and hammer thrower Amanda Bingson. In 2018, they launched a long-term collaboration with Victory and this year, they showcased the plus-size range with a help of influencer Chloe Elliott.
