Peloton’s Popularity Has Increased During the Pandemic

While many businesses have taken a huge hit during the pandemic, one company is doing better than ever. There’s been a huge increase in sales for Peloton during COVID-19 and the company’s global membership has more than doubled since last year, hitting 3.1 million at the end of June.

Peloton’s perfect for those who miss the community aspect of group fitness, specifically cycling and the bike and app allows you to replicate the cycling class experience at home.

The bikes are currently on sale for $1,185, with the original price being $2,245. The Peloton All-Access Membership which includes live-streaming and on-demand classes, membership for the entire family, real-time metrics, instructor shout outs, and access to Peloton on any device, is $39 a month. There’s also a second membership option, which is the Peloton Digital Membership, and it includes Peloton studio and outdoor running classes on the app with a single-user membership and costs $12.99 a month.

Peloton just released the Peloton Bike+, Peloton Tread+, and the Bike Bootcamp. The Peloton Bike+ has new features that make it easier to combine cardio and strength training and the Peloton Tread+ is an upgrade to the original treadmill that includes a shock-absorbing slat belt. The Bike Bootcamp is a challenging workout that combines cardio and strength training intervals.
