Russell Brand Shares Kundalini Meditation Tips

It’s no secret that meditation has tons of mental and physical health benefits and actor Russell Brand is a huge fan of the practice. Brand has been doing various forms of meditation for years and he has been giving us meditation inspiration on his Instagram and YouTube. He does breathwork and body scans twice a day to help him connect to the present and manage his sobriety. The latest form of meditation he’s been sharing with his followers is Kundalini, an ancient, yoga-based mediation.

Kundalini meditation is based on the premise that everyone has coiled energy at the base of their spine. The practice helps create a container for the energy, allowing you to reach your highest self with breathwork, mantras, active meditation, and Kundalini yoga poses. The yoga and breathwork are accompanied by affirmations and mantras that guide the practice.

Brand has been guiding followers through Kundalini meditations focused with goals like “to reorganize your perception”, “feel more present and protected” and “boost the immune system”.

In his Instagram videos, the British actor explains that he likes the short, rapid breath and mantras because it “changes your psychic state”. Kundalini meditation is perfect if you struggle with staying focused while meditation because it’s more active and engaging.
