Safety Rules to Follow While Playing Beach Volleyball

Beach volleyball is one of the most popular summer sports because it’s exciting and super-fun. Despite the fact it may look effortless from the distance, there are still a couple of things you should pay attention to in order to stay safe.

Sun Protection

It’s difficult to tell how much time you’re going to spend playing volleyball on the beach, so don’t leave anything to chance. Wearing sunscreen is a must, and you should also consider wearing a hat and sunglasses if you’re super-sensitive.

Safe Terrain

Some beaches come with sand volleyball courts, but that’s not always the case. If you’re not able to find one, but want to play anyway, make sure to find a clean section of the beach, and look for potential safety hazards, such as plastic and broken glass.

Going Barefoot?

Most people play this sport barefoot because they’re not wearing shoes on the beach anyway, but it’s not always the best idea. If you notice that this activity is putting too much stress on your feet, consider buying a pair of sun socks, since they’ll help you prevent sores and blisters.
