Practicing yoga is extremely rewarding, but also harder than most people think, especially for yogis who have been doing yoga for a while. If you’re having a hard time focusing on your workouts or tracking your progress, here are a few signs that might indicate it’s time to change your yoga routine.
It Feels Like a Chore
The moment your workouts start feeling like a chore it’s time to change and improve them because you don’t want to end up hating exercise. If yoga class feels more like a chore, look for ways to make them more fun by finding a workout buddy, trying new yoga poses, or investing in new gear.
You Feel Exhausted After Practice
It’s okay to feel sleepy or tired after a workout sometimes, but if you’re constantly feeling exhausted after a yoga class it’s time to change something. Extreme fatigue may be a sign that you’re pushing yourself too hard and in that case, it’s best to take a few rest days or try different activities.
You’re Not Challenged
Challenging yourself during a workout will definitely make it harder, but it’ll also improve your performance and strength. Most importantly, challenging yoga workouts will keep you inspired to work hard on improving your practice.
