There’s no doubt that High School Musical actress Vanessa Hudgens goes hard at the gym. Her latest Instagram post shows her completing rotational wall slams with a power rope medicine ball and the actress did 30 reps in one sitting.

“Sometimes u just gotta let off some steam,” Hudgens captioned the video.

The workout is super impressive and it’s only one part of her entire workout. She used a power rope medicine ball, which is a medicine ball with a rope attached to it, to complete the workout. It’s ideal for performing traditional rotational exercises that you’d do with a medicine ball, and chopping and swinging motions.

Hudgens’ exercise is a strength and endurance full-body workout that combines rotational and swinging movements. With the rotational movements, you have to engage your core and obliques. Your biceps, shoulders, quads, glutes, and calves are also activated.

Rotational wall slams are an advanced exercise that requires a great amount of strength as you also need to balance and stabilize while holding a strong core. If you’re up for the workout, remember to keep your muscles tense and to focus on your breathing during the exercise. Bear in mind that you’ll need a strong wall that you won’t put a hole through while completing this workout.

If this exercise seems a bit too intense for you, you can build up to it by starting with Russian twists with a medicine ball and doing torso twists with resistance bands or cables.
