Alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn had to adjust to the new conditions when the pandemic hit this year. Just like most of us, she had to start working out from her own home and these three bodyweight exercises are now her favorites.

    Step-Ups

This exercise requires a bench, stair, block, or a chair because you will need something to step up onto. Stand on the object by straightening your right knee and lift your left leg until your hip and knee form 90-degree angles. Bend your right knee and lower your left foot. Repeat while alternating sides.

    Spiderman Plank

The spiderman plank exercise starts in a high plank position as you stand on your hands and toes with your body forming a straight line. Bring one knee outside and around toward the same elbow, return to the starting position, and repeat on the other side.

    Mountain Climbers

The starting position is a traditional plank. Make sure your back is flat and engage your core, lifting up the right knee and bringing it toward the elbow. Return it back to the original position and simultaneously start lifting your left knee in the same manner. It should feel like you’re “running” in place while doing a plank.
