These Jump Rope Workouts Can Easily Replace Running

Yes, cardio is important, but if you absolutely hate running nobody says you have to do it! There are plenty of ways to get enough weekly cardio even without running, and jump rope exercise may be the most fun of them all.

Many people see cardio as boring and we can see why. Running, cycling, or walking can be one-dimensional and get your mind bored. The progress is slow and the minutes can seem very long unless you do another activity at the same time, like watching or listening to something on your phone. This is typically possible if you’re working out on the stationary bike or treadmill, but when you’re outside, you need to stay alert of your surrounding. That’s why our favorite cardio activity is jump roping. It’s so fun and it basically feels like a game. Each time you “fail” it makes you want to work harder and push yourself to last longer the next time.

There are many workout programs designed for jump rope and below are some of our favorite ones.
