Water is possibly the most important thing we consume. You’ve probably heard that it makes up around 60% of our bodies, which means staying hydrated is absolutely essential to a person’s health. Sometimes it’s hard to make sure you get enough water each day, so here are some tips!

Carry a Water Bottle

If you have a nice water bottle that is easy to drink from (for example, one with a straw so there’s no risk of a spill), keeping it with you at all times is a great way to get in the habit of drinking water. You may find that if you simply have it next to you during your workday, you’ll take sips whenever you need something to do with your hands.

Set Alarms

If you tend to get caught up in tasks or you simply aren’t in the habit of drinking water, you can set regular alarms on your phone as a reminder to drink water throughout the day. It’s important to set several throughout the day because hydration means drinking water regularly, rather than a whole bottle at night or in the morning.

Drink Tea

If the problem is that you don’t like the taste of water, try disguising it in other drinks. Tea or iced tea is almost entirely water but has its own flavors. It’s best not to use sweet drinks because sugar can dehydrate you and in general, isn’t good to drink in copious amounts.
