What Is Fusion Fitness and is it Right For You?

Workout trends come and go, but fusion fitness is one of the very few that’s been constantly evolving over the years. Even if you’re not familiar with the term, you probably know what it entails, and you might’ve given it a try without even being aware of it.

Fusion fitness workouts represent a mix of at least two different disciplines, but very often feature even more. They’ve been popular for years because they allow you to get a full-body workout in no time, making them much more effective than your regular gym sessions.

I thought it was the hardest thing I had ever done! Sadie Durbin taught class- I was out of shape and didn’t go back for a couple years lol 🤣 FF: What has kept you coming back to fusion fitness for more classes- now? SG: My body is in the best shape it has ever been and I feel stronger and better about myself after every class FF: How would you describe Fusion to someone who has never been before? SG: It is high intensity cardio with small weights and repeated difficult toning exercises. You get to workout with the most motivating awesome instructors in KC and you don’t dread going, you look forward to it! FF: What are the benefits and results that you have noticed from attending classes at fusion? SG: I feel my best version both inside and out. It lets me have time for myself every day and I leave happier because of it. FF: What is your favorite class to attend now? SG: Erica’s Cardio on Saturday’s. On the weekends I am looser with my eating habits—I have to be in an Italian family! But when I go to her never stop psycho cardio class it makes up for the pasta and my weekend is better! FF: What non-physical results have you gained from Fusion Fitness? SG: I am happier overall and more confident. Endorphins are real! I also love the beautiful people I have met at Fusion! It’s pretty much impossible to be bored during fitness fusion classes, but they’re not really suited for total beginners. These workouts are extremely challenging, but picking a mix of disciplines you actually enjoy will make them seem like a fun game.

Options are pretty much limitless, and fitness centers are coming up with new fusion classes as we speak. If you’re a person with a busy schedule who enjoys pushing boundaries, don’t hesitate to explore options in your city since these workouts can do wonders for your strength, balance, stability, and endurance.
