Why Fiber’s an Important Ingredient in Your Breakfast

Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and what you eat is just as important. It’s the first meal you eat and it will kick start your metabolism for the rest of the day. After an 8 hour sleep, your metabolism has slowed down so by eating breakfast you are getting your body ready to start burning food into energy. Fiber is one of the most important ingredients to incorporate in to your breakfast.

Eating fiber in the morning will help boost your metabolism and it has significant health benefits. You’ll feel fuller for longer and it helps control blood sugar and cholesterol levels. High fiber foods are also useful for weight loss as the fiber expands in the stomach making you feel full and wanting to eat less in the day.

You don’t have to eat breakfast as soon as you wake up but the sooner you do eat the quicker your energy levels will go up and your metabolism will start working.

Some breakfasts filled with fiber include oatmeal with a milk of your choice with berries and seeds, eggs on whole-grain bread with vegetables on the side, and chia seed pudding with some dates on top.
