There’s nothing more frustrating than making plans and not following through on them. It’s disheartening, discouraging, and leads to moping around and not making more plans in the future. When it comes to working out, there are all kinds of reasons why people may not be following through on their workout plans—and here are a few of them.

Peer Pressure

Perhaps one of the biggest reasons we don’t follow through on workout plans is the fact that we succumb to peer pressure. But instead of going to the beach with your buddies, make sure to be strong and stick to your original plan. It’s not easy, but it’s a challenge you can certainly overcome.

Family

Many people have familial obligations, and that’s the biggest responsibility a person can have. But with proper time management, you can figure out a way to take care of your family and yourself as well.

Goals Too Lofty

Another reason that you could be not following through on your goals is the simple reason that you set goals for yourself that are too much for you. This is where knowing yourself comes into practice, and finding the perfect routine that works for you.
