You Should Avoid These Foods After Working Out

There’s no doubt that working out can do wonders for your health and the way your body looks, but you can significantly sabotage the results if you eat processed foods before and after working out. Some foods are better for you at certain points of your day, and here are the ones that you should avoid after a workout.

Added Sugar

Whether we’re talking about store-bought candy or something that seems like a healthy choice, but actually contains added sugar, this is something that you should avoid at all times, especially after a workout. If you can’t resist the urge, help yourself with some dark chocolate that actually has health benefits.

Fast Food

You may not be in the mood to cook after you’ve just finished a workout, but that’s not an excuse to opt for fast food unless you want your workout to have absolutely no effect.

Fruit

We’re not saying fruit is bad for you, but the amount of sugar in it makes it one of the worst things to eat after working out. The only exception is a banana. For everything else, wait at least an hour.
