It often seems that we have to compromise looking beautiful when we work out. Workouts are sweaty and can ruin our hair and makeup, but they make us more healthy and better-looking in the long run. If you’d like to do a quick workout during your lunch break or before work but still look presentable for the rest of the day, here are our top tips.
No Makeup
Your skin needs to breathe while it sweats, so you won’t be doing it any favors if you put makeup on. If you already did your makeup in the morning, take it off and apply a fresh layer after you’ve finished the workout.
Dry Shampoo
Applying dry shampoo before a workout will help your hair stay stylish. However, if you use it on a sweaty scalp after a workout, it won’t have the desired effect and can clog the pores and cause breakouts.
Short Nails
Long nails and working out don’t really match. Keeping your nails short and cute will make it easier to handle the workout equipment and leave less dirt under the nails that can irritate your skin later. Thoroughly wash your hands and clean your nails after every workout to avoid bacteria spreading over your body.
