Drew Barrymore Explains Why Daily Workouts Aren’t Her Top Priority

If you’re struggling to fit a workout into your daily schedule, you’re not the only one. Drew Barrymore admitted she feels the same way—but although working out on a daily basis isn’t her top priority, she’s still trying to stay in shape and be consistent with her workouts.

Barrymore recently discussed her fitness journey in the cover story for Health magazine and said she’ll never be the person who eats the perfect food and works out every day—but that doesn’t mean she’s not working out at all.

“Between my kids and work, I don’t have the time in life. But I realized that if I’m more consistent about it and carve out the time for it, it leads to a better life. Before, it was all workout or none,” explained the actress.

Workouts have to take a back seat to her other top priorities—her kids, work, and friendships—but staying healthy and fit is still on her list of priorities. Barrymore may not be at the gym every day, but she’s more committed to her fitness routine than she was in the past, and she feels good about where she is in her fitness journey right now.
