Halle Berry Opens Up About Her Decision to Stop Doing Cardio

Halle Berry has shared many fitness tips and tricks over the years, and she recently revealed that her workout routine went through a major change. The Oscar-winning actress admitted that she stopped doing cardio and explained her decision to turn her full attention to weight training.

Berry recently appeared on Tamsen Fadal’s podcast The Tamsen Show, and they took a moment to discuss her workout routine. She admitted that her approach to fitness significantly changed since she entered menopause, adding that cardio is no longer her priority.

“I used to do a lot of cardio. Right now, I’m trying to put muscle mass on, so I lift weights now and I never used to lift weights before. I only did my own body weight and cardio like cycling and running. Now I just do pretty much boring – what I find boring – but it’s necessary for this stage of life,” said Berry.

The Oscar-winning actress revealed that she usually lifts weights at least twice a week, and she believes this workout routine is a perfect fit for the stage of life she’s in now. She initially started lifting weights while looking for ways to manage her diabetes, and she’s not necessarily trying to put muscle mass on, but simply hold onto muscles she already has.
