Have you ever wondered what an Olympic gymnast eats in a day? With her gymnastics career behind her, Shawn Johnson focuses on taking care of her family as well as herself. After suffering from a eating disorder that caused her to restrict calories during her Olympic days, she now sees food as a way to nourish her body and she enjoys all of her favorite foods in moderation, “I’m just about everything in moderation,” she says. “I love my wine and I love my chocolate and I love my cookies, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that,” she told Women’s Health. Here’s what she eats in a day.

Breakfast

Shawn loves coffee and she makes sure to start her morning with a coffee or cappuccino with almond milk. For food, she’ll eat an English muffin with cashew butter, strawberry jam, or avocado and eggs. She’ll also occasionally have a protein smoothie.

Lunch

For lunch, Shawn eats a leafy green salad with protein and she often turns to Pinterst or Instagram for food inspiration.

Snacks

Shawn and her husband, football player Andrew East, enjoy munching on hummus with crackers or vegetables and for a sweet treat, she has chocolate, which she stocks up on in her home.

Dinner

The Olympian prefers to keep things simple for dinner—she’s been ordering a lot of takeout during the coronavirus and for date night, she’ll order sushi rolls or bison burgers. When she feels up to it, she’ll cook, which is a passion of hers. She also drinks wine with her dinner.

Dessert

For dessert, Shawn likes to complete her night with wine and chocolate, especially chocolate-covered nuts.
