Most people can’t imagine building a home gym without expensive equipment pieces, but this step can be skipped entirely. Unless you’re a fitness pro, fancy equipment that you’re barely familiar with doesn’t belong anywhere near your gym for more reasons than one.

Money Talk

The first reason why you shouldn’t buy any fancy equipment for your home gym is pretty obvious: the money. Unless you’re already familiar with the machine in question and enjoy using it on a regular basis, you shouldn’t spend a fortune to simply give it a try.

Lack of Space

Some people have a whole room dedicated to their home gym, but this isn’t extremely common. If you’re working out from your living room, like most people are, your space is extremely limited. Many popular gym machines, such as treadmills and exercise bikes, take up a significant amount of room and you’ll probably struggle to make space for them.

Better Alternatives

There’s no need to spend a fortune on your home gym because there are many affordable options on the market. From jump ropes and resistance bands to equipment-free workouts, it all comes down to finding the routine that you enjoy, with or without expensive gym machines.
