Pilates comes in many different shapes and forms, and you’ll never run out of things to try if you enjoy this activity. One of the latest trends everyone seems to be talking about is hot Pilates, and it’s all about sweating your way through the workout.

What makes hot Pilates so different from other variations is that it’s performed in a room heated to 95 degrees. By performing a low-impact, high-intensity workout in a room with high humidity, you’ll end up burning more calories than you usually would.

The extra heat element will challenge your focus and mental strength, inspiring you to really give it your all during a workout. It has several similarities with hot yoga, but it places importance on different factors, including strengthening, toning, and elevating the heart rate.

Unfortunately, hot Pilates isn’t one of those routines you can try at home, because it’s performed in special conditions. In order to give it a go, you’ll have to look for a gym or a Pilates studio in your local area that offers classes in heated rooms.

Despite its many benefits, this form of Pilates shouldn’t be performed by pretty much anyone. Extra heat may lead to dizziness, increased heart rate, and nausea and it’s recommended to drink a lot of water before the workout and take breaks to cool down.
