Indoor Rock Climbing Gear You Need To Own

Rock climbing is a fun and challenging activity that can be done both indoors and outdoors. Indoor rock climbing is the safer version, and a great way to prepare yourself and make sure you are ready for the mighty outdoors. Like every sport, indoor rock climbing requires certain gear.

If it’s your first time, it’s best to rent your equipment. Many gyms offer rental shoes, harnesses, and chalk. However, if you would like to become a regular at climbing events it’s good to have your own climbing gear.

Climbing Shoes

Having your own pair of shoes is more sanitary than renting them. It will also probably fit better; you can find the proper size, and buy the type that suits you best.

Chalk Bag

During climbing your hands tend to get sweaty, and if you want to have a better grip a chalk bag filled with chalk attached to your harness is a must. There are different chalk types you can find on the market. Choose the one that quickly absorbs sweat.

Hand Balm

After a couple of times climbing your hands will be beaten up, so a good hand balm is a life-savior, or shall we say hand-savior.
