Doing push-ups is great for working your upper body, but it can get pretty boring if you just repeat it every day. You can mix things up by doing some of these push-up variations from time to time.

Incline Push-Up

Incline push-ups are great for beginners and those who can’t do the regular push-ups yet. They’re done by placing your hands on the wall, bench, or a bar instead of the ground, so that the movement is easier.

Med-Ball Push-Up

In a similar way, you can do push-ups by placing your hands on a medicine ball instead of the ground. This is a bit more difficult as you need to keep your balance while doing the exercise.

Spiderman Push-Up

You don’t need any equipment to do this. Start with a traditional push-up position and, as you’re lowering your body towards the floor, bend one leg so that your knee gets close to your wrist. Imagine Spiderman climbing a wall—that’s the position you want. Straighten the leg as you’re getting up.
