Normani is the latest star to describe her fitness journey in detail as the cover girl of Women’s Health. Her epic dance moves make it pretty clear that she’s extremely committed to her workouts, but it turns out that meditation and yoga are also an essential part of her fitness routine.

The former Fifth Harmony singer explained that meditation, breathing exercises, and yoga completely changed her wellness and self-care routine because they allow her to center herself and set the mood for the rest of her day.

“I’m working out, but I’m also becoming more in tune with my body. Having more awareness about what’s going on pushes me to be in the now and to breathe, which is something I desperately needed,” explained Normani.

She also works out three times a week and mostly focuses on ab and glute exercises during Zoom sessions with her trainer Kevin Mejia. Her routine consists of squats, walking lunges with elastic bands, planks, and mountain climbers. She also enjoys hiking in her free time because it allows her to get more connected with nature.
