Rebel Wilson Reveals Her “Year of Health” Goals

Actress Rebel Wilson has made 2020 her “year of health” by prioritizing eating healthy and exercising to reach her goal weight.

Back in January, Rebel revealed her plan on her Instagram account making sure to walk more and make good food choices. “Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called “The Year of Health.” So I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it,” she posted.

In a later post in May, she was more specific saying that she’s trying to reach her goal of 75 kg (165 lbs) and working on her latest movie, “I’ll be honest with you guys—with my ‘Year of Health’ mission I’m trying to get to 75kg’s and career wise am trying to get one of my movies into production before the end of the year! Both of these things are requiring a daily effort and there’s constant setbacks—but I’m working hard x” (FYI 75 kg is roughly 165 lbs.),” she wrote.

She’s been training with Jono Castano up to seven days a week and she even shows some of her sessions on Instagram. Her routines are usually high-intensity training and include flipping tires, stair sprints, and battle rope.

In regards to her diet, she’s been following the Mayr Method which improves health through digestion and eliminates snacking, reduces gluten and dairy intake, and encourages mindful eating. The meals focus on whole foods with high alkaline content like fresh fish, vegetables, and sheep’s milk yogurt.

Rebel hasn’t glamorized her lifestyle changes and she’s been clear that it’s been difficult, “Even if you have to crawl towards your goals, keep going x it will be worth it. Try and give a little bit of effort each day…I know some days are frustrating as hell, you feel like giving up, you get annoyed at the lack of progress…but good things are coming your way 🤘what are your goals this year?,” she captioned one of her posts on Instagram.
