What Are Julianne Hough’s KINGRY Workouts All About?

Celebrities sometimes use pretty unusual methods to stay the shape, and that’s the case with Julianne Hough. The famous dancer is constantly promoting her dance-driven KINGRY workouts on Instagram, but what are they all about?

Hough broke into mainstream as a cast member of Dancing with the Stars, so it goes without saying that her workout method can best be described as dance cardio. KINGRY also incorporates elements of meditation, breathwork, and strength training.

Its official website describes it as “a movement experience inspired by the elements”. They currently offer two types of dance-driven, high-intensity workouts – shorter KINRGY 30 classes, and signature KINRGY 45, described as “full-body, immersive experience”.

The name of this workout method combines the word “kin” (short for “kinesthetic”) and “energy”. Hough’s main goal with KINRGY was to create a community where everyone feels accepted. She wants everyone who takes part in these workouts to open up their senses and connect to nature’s elements, instead of focusing on getting the choreography down.
